Appeal for Donation

Recently, Malawi has been economically challenged making it difficult for us to receive enough funds as it has been previously done. The government has withdrawn subsidy in secondary schools and universities, making it difficult to needy bright students to access education both at secondary and tertiary levels

The number of needy students who request for support has increased beyond our expectations. IZF uses the funds for education only. We are receiving applications everyday and we have no funds to support them.

We humbly request your hand to join us and educate more economically challenged Malawian Muslim students. The beneficiaries are underprivileged, bright young Malawians who benfit and become leaders in the communities and assist others in due course.

Remember, Zakaat is what a believer returns out of his or her wealth to the neediest of Muslims for the sake of Almighty Allah. We strongly believe that, it is only through high level of education the Muslim community can move forward.

We humbly request your Zakaat to help in sponsoring the students in the various learning institutions. We would also welcome any general donation (Lillah and Sadaqa.) IZF is in need of funds and any assistance that you can render will be most helpful

Vote of thanks

About Zakaat: In Quran and Haddith

“Alms are for the poor and for the needy , and those employed to administer the (Funds), for those whose hear ts have been (recently) reconciled (to truth); for those in bondage and for those in debt; and for the cause of Allah and for the wayfarer (Thus is it) ordained by Allah. And Allah has full knowledge and wisdom.” (Surah Taubah, 9: 60)

Hazrat Abu Hurrairah (RA) relates that the Prophet Mohammed (SAW) said whomsoever Allah gives wealth, but who does not pay its Zakaat, his wealth will be likened for him on the resurrection day to a huge bald snake having two fangs, it will bite him round his neck and take hold of him with his two fangs meaning its two jaws and say - I am your wealth and I am your hidden treasure. Then he recited “ And let not those who covetously withhold of that which Allah has bestowed on them out of his bounty.” (Bukhari)
